What Exactly Is a House Call Vet?A house call veterinarian is one who brings his/her services to your pet in the comfort of your home, or place of business. He/she can provide most veterinary services (with a few exceptions) including vaccines, blood work and routine care at each visit.
-
Why Should I Choose a House Call Vet?Choosing a mobile vet provides several benefits, both for you and for your four-legged friend. It can help reduce your stress levels (for your pet and for you), save you time and gas, and allow your pet to have a more comfortable veterinary experience. Mobile veterinary care offers several advantages, including: Great for pets who struggle with travel, get motion sickness, or experience stress in transportation to the veterinarian Eliminates your pet's exposure to sick animals in a waiting room Creates a calmer environment for those pets who may become stressed or fearful around other animals More personalized care through longer appointment times and not being rushed Wait for the veterinarian in the comfort of your own home Easier for owners with multiple pets A more private, peaceful, and comforting environment if your pet must be euthanized More convenient for people with busy schedules
-
Do I need to have an appointment?Yes, patients are seen strictly by appointment only. To ensure the best care and to manage our schedule efficiently, we kindly ask that all patients arrange their visits in advance. This policy helps us to minimize wait times and provide personalized attention to each patient during their scheduled time. Please contact our office to book an appointment or for any further inquiries. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

What Should I Do to Prepare for My Pet’s Appointment? If it is your pet’s first visit with us, please have all of his medical information/records available, if applicable. Please also make sure that your pet isn’t playing hide and seek when we arrive. We recommend that you have your pet prepared by having dogs in a smaller room or leashed/in a crate. For cats, please confine them to a small room without furniture they may hide under, such as a bed or large dresser.

What are your fees?We offer competitive pricing, comparable with other area vet practices. The only difference between our charges and those of a regular veterinary clinic is our fee to come to your location. This is called a “House Call” fee. We are happy to provide estimates upon request. Fees are primarily based on the distance from our office location in St John County. There will be an additional mileage fee assessed beyond this radius which covers increased drive time and fuel costs. There is only one house call charge per visit, regardless of the number of pets we treat. * Please note that prices are subject to change without notice. We strive to keep our pricing competitive and transparent, but unforeseen factors may necessitate adjustments. For the most current pricing information, or if you would like a detailed estimate for your specific needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our team is always ready to assist you and provide accurate estimates upon request. Example Pricing Located in our FAQ section
